Macro Monday ~ Volume 27

Welcome to Marco Monday - Volume 27. Although I have not felt that great this weekend, I needed some macro time. At first, I wasn't sure what this plant is, but Goggle to the rescue. Typing in "purple plant", reveled that this pretty plant growing in our backyard is call "Purple Heart". Oh, how it is fitting for the month of February. After taking Caroline Jensen's LR processing class "Communicating with Color and Light", I have learned to draw the viewers eyes. Of course, good exposure it essential, but sometimes underexposing an image is just as compelling.

For the most part, Caroline's class was about processing your images. However, Caroline also mentioned to approach a subject in different ways. My hope is that the above two images give you an example on how to approach the same subject in different ways.

If you have not had a change to sign up for Tiffany's Macro workshop, please check out the details on the Click Photo School homepage. I hope to see you in class.

For more beautiful macro work, please visit the very talented photographer and my friend, Jessica Nelson at The Gaggle Photography by Jessica Nelson.

Thank you for stopping by today...until next time, keep smiling.
